Comments: The old memories are sure being stirred up. I wish we were closer but NC is too far for old people to come from. You have done a great job putting all of this together. I hope you all have a great time at the reunion. How do I find the contact list that was published last year? I would like to reach out to a few people.
Admin reply: Roger, so good to hear from you! And so sorry you will not be able to make the 2015 reunion. As for the classmate contact list, that is in safe-keeping with Ned Juengst '60. His contact information (cannot publish it here in the open due to security reasons) is on the 2015 Reunion announcement accessible elsewhere on this website. Regards. Pier "Peter" Guidi '62, website editor.

Comments: Just found your site and enjoying some memories. I am one of Virginia Carney, retired teacher from North Salem HS. She taught in the Purdys school in the mid 1940's, then again in NSHS from around 1967 til her retirement in 1981. I also taught in the Purdys school in 1977-78 as a Title IX aide with Marge Fanning. Living just over the bridge to Somers off Rt. 116 I was always in NS. Thanks for the memories.

Comments: a few weeks ago i was over at the north salem p.o. picking up my mail and decided to go to kingsley for lunch and low and behold , bobby tompkins was also having lunch with a friend. we were talking about old times and he mentioned this web site. what a great job done . brought back great memories and nice times . it was nice to see what old friend's look like now and that most are still around . peter, ned and purdy did a great job on collecting everything , i only wished that i knew that there was a re-union in 2012, i would of liked to have gone. but i here there's one coming up in 2015. if some one could contact me at my e-mail address and let me know how to contact other classmates. warm regard's charlie o'lear
Admin reply: Hello Charles... Glad to hear from you! ...and thanks for the kudos. Its taken me since before 2011 to gather all the info you see on the web site today (Nov 2014)- a good bit of it mine and a lot from various old Purdys and NS schoolmates. I had been dreaming of doing just yearbooks for years - since between me and my sister (Elena Guidi NS '67 - now Elen Dragomani ) we had at least a dozen between us. With Ned Juengst '60 spearheading the 2012 reunion, and both Ned and Purdy Outhouse '59 tracking down old schoolmates (beginning with Ray Furlan's '59 old lists from his efforts on the 2000, 1993, 1979 reunions) there was great opportunity for me to get my hands on lots more materials - which I did. The result is what you see today on the web site - so far! You may have some near term problems with the site - I'm in the process of updating/modernizing it given all the new portable and personal devices that people use to access the internet. Hope to see you next reunion in 2015. Ned's contact info is on the home page. Regards! Pier "Peter" Guidi '62 & www.PurdysCentralHigh.com editor

Comments: Class of 1970. I started at the Croton Falls school in 5th grade in 62, then moved to Purdys Central in mid year after the new High School opened. We used to play stickball on the side of the school, sometimes out front if there were cars parked in the way. Good times.
Admin reply: Mark, good to hear from you on the Purdys school memorabilia website! and its good to hear that like many from North Salem, school was a great time in our lives. Hope you can make it to the reunion coming up in 2015. If the 2012 was an indicator, we will see a bunch of people from North Salem High who somehow had a connection with the Purdys school building like you did. Regards. Pier "Peter" Guidi '62.
Comments: I was at the premiere tonight, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I want to bring a copy to N Carolina to my parents who were good friends with the Lundys and the Lehtonens. This site is wonderful; North Salem is wonderful, and I feel so fortunate to live in Lewisboro and be still so close to where I grew up!
